HIGHER GROUND ENTERTAINMENT was formed with the intention of producing work that reflects our commitment to stories and issues that are important to the communities we serve. We produce stories to inspire and create transformative experiences. In addition to providing dramatic real-life situations, we offer you an opportunity to step up into a world of individuals whose lives are seldom documented, a world where we shine a light on those who have been ignored and forgotten. Our company’s creative purpose is to serve society through the stories we tell.
Combining our creative abilities as storytellers and community activists, Quintero and Haro have produced award-winning projects, not only inside Hollywood but across the nation as well.
DANNY HARO’S career includes over thirty years of media production/directing, marketing, and grassroots organizing. He has worked as a Producer/Director of Edward James Olmos Productions for 18 years.
Awards and nominations include the Director’s Guild Academy Award in the category of Best Documentary; the National Education Foundation’s Golden Apple Award for Best Film in the Classroom; and a recipient of the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award, NAMIC award, and Imagen Award.
